Search Criteria Basics

A search criteria is based on a selection of a market, media type and one or more panels. (Show Me)

  1. Select a Market Type (DMA, CBSA, County or Custom Market).
  2. Select a Market from the listing.
  3. Select a Media Category.
  4. Select a Media Type.
  5. Click the Report Parameters tab at the top of the page to continue.

How do I retrieve audience data for specific panels? (Show Me)

  1. Select a Market Type (DMA, CBSA, County or Custom Market).
  2. Select a Market from the listing.
  3. Select a Media Category.
  4. Select a Media Type.
  5. Click the Select individual panels from within the search results check box.
  6. Select one or more panels to include in your report.
  7. Click the Report Parameters tab at the top of the page to continue.

How do I retrieve audience data for all panels in a market? (Show Me)

  1. Select a Market Type (DMA, CBSA, County or Custom Market).
  2. Select a Market from the listing.
  3. Select a Media Category.
  4. Select a Media Type.
  5. Click the Report Parameters tab at the top of the page to continue.

How do I retrieve audience data for a specific Plant Operator? (Show Me)

  1. Select a Market Type (DMA, CBSA, County or Custom Market).
  2. Select a Market from the listing.
  3. Click the Seach Panels By Operator check box.
  4. Select a Plant Operator.
  5. Select a Media Category.
  6. Select a Media Type.
  7. Optionally, click the Select individual panels from within the search results check box if you want to select individual panel.
  8. Click the Report Parameters tab at the top of the page to continue.

How to use filters to find specific panels based on a panel’s location attributes (primary artery, unit# etc.)? (Show Me)

  1. Select a Market Type (DMA, CBSA, County or Custom Market).
  2. Select a Market from the listing.
  3. Click the Search panels by plant operator check box.
  4. Select a Plant Operator.
  5. Click the Select individual panels from within the search results check box.
  6. Select a filter from the Filter Results list box.
  7. Enter a filter criteria and click Apply Filter.
  8. Select one or more panels to include in your report.
  9. Click the Report Parameters tab at the top of the page to continue.

Report Parameters

Select the audience measures, panel attributes and demographics to include in your report. (Show Me)

  1. Check the Report Columns (audience measures) you want to include in your report. Five audience measures are available:
    • Total Impressions (IMPs)
    • In Market Impressions (In Market IMPs)
    • In Market Target Rating Points (In Market TRPs)
    • In Market Population
    • In Market % Composition (In Market % Comp)
  2. Check the Panel Data you want to include in your report.
  3. Select up to five demographics to include in your report.
    • Select a Demographic Category
    • Select a Demographic
    • Select a Demographic Sex
      For example, if you want to include Females 18-49 IMPs in your report. Select Adults by Age Group, 18-49 and Females.
    • Click Add to Selection
  4. Click the Generate Report tab at the top of the page to continue.

Save Setup

The Save Setup tab allows users to save their first two tabs progress for pulling similar reports in the future. These saved setups can be found in the Reports Setup section seen on the left column of the page.

Generate Report

Once you have specified a market, panels, demographics and report columns you are ready to submit your report for processing. (Show Me)

  1. Enter a title for the report.
  2. Optionally, click the Notify me by email when report is ready checkbox if you would like ADS to notify you when your report has been completed.
  3. Click Generate Report.
  4. Monitor the progress of your report from My Reports or wait for an email from us notifying you when it is ready for viewing or downloading.
